Virtual Auction FAQs

How can I donate an item for the auction?

To donate an item or experience for our virtual auction, please contact Tammy Gordon at tgordon@mtech.edu.

What is a virtual auction?

Our virtual auction is a way to support Ripple while also getting some great items and experiences. A virtual auction brings all elements of an in-person auction to an online format. Over a two-day period, you’ll have the chance to bid against others from the comfort of your own home. If you are the winning bidder at the end of the auction, you will pay online and can pick the item up at our office in Butte or have it shipped to you.

There may also be raffle items included in the event. For these items, you can purchase raffle ticket(s) throughout the duration of the event, then a drawing will be held once the event closes.

How long does the auction run?

The auction will go live for you to begin bidding on items at 6:00am MT on December 11th and will close at 8:00pm MT on December 12th. You will be notified immediately after the auction closes if you have won.

How do I bid on an item?

To bid on an item, you will need to have an account with GiveSmart, our auction hosting platform. We will need your email address in case we need to contact you and your address to know where to ship items you win. To place a bid, you will also need to enter credit or debit card information that will be charged should you win.
